If it's true that the eyes are the mirror to the soul,
how can the person looking into that soul know what is truly going on there unless they have been there themselves?

How can one understand the twinkling glint of a new love?
...the smoldering embers of burning passion?
...the razor-sharp edge of pain that has yet to dull with time?
...the desolate loneliness of a broken heart that knows not where all the shattered pieces have fallen?
...the burnt edges of anger from being mistreated and betrayed by those who claimed to love you?

I have been told recently that I can "see right into" people...

This may be true, but how can I truly recognize what is being reflected from their soul unless I have felt it or can atleast relate to it right now?

How can one feel happiness and love, when there is anger burning in the heart?
...compassion, sympathy... while distrust and cynicism rule the mind?
...hope... when there seems to be little left to hope for?
